Ten of the sixteen teams who participated in the 2008 Chick-fil-A Classic won 21 or more games. Five of these teams won State Championships and one finished as State Runner-Up! The ten teams listed below had a combined winning record of 261 wins and only 54 losses for a .829 winning percent

Miller Grove High (Lithonia, GA) 27-3 record. Georgia Class 4A State Champions

Pinewood Prep (Summerville, SC) 28-5 record. SCISA Class 3A State Champions for fourth year in a row.

Orlando Christian Prep (Orlando, FL) 29-2 record. Florida Class 1A State Champions for second consecutive year.

Miller School (Charlottesville, VA) 26-3 record. VISBA Division 2 State Champions.

Ravenscroft School (Raleigh, NC) 28-7 record. NCISAA Class 3A State Runners-Up

Myers Park High (Charlotte, NC) 24-7 record. NCHSAA Class 4A Elite 8

Bishop McGuiness High (Oklahoma City, OK) 21-9 record. State Playoffs.

W.J. Keenan High (Columbia, SC) 21-8 record. Class 2A State Playoffs.

Lower Richland High (Hopkins, SC) 21-6 record. Class 3A State Playoffs.

Three teams from this year’s tournament field won state championships. They were Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA), Christ School (Asheville, NC) and Pinewood Prep (Summerville, SC). Altogether, ten of the sixteen participating teams won 21 or more games during their seasons. These ten teams total combined record was 253 wins and only 50 losses for a winning percentage of 0.835.

New Hanover High (Wilmington, NC) 25-3 record. Class 4A State Playoffs.

Craigmont High (Memphis, TN) 25-11 record. Class 3A State Playoffs.

W.J. Keenan High (Columbia, SC) 24-4 record. Class 2A Final Four.

Centennial High (Roswell, GA) 24-6 record. Class 5A State Playoffs.

Logan High (Logan, WV) 23-4 record. Class 2A Final Four.

Lower Richland High (Hopkins, SC) 21-6 record. Class 4A Elite 8.

Gadsden City High (Gadsden, AL) 21-8 record. Class 6A State Playoffs

Twelve of the sixteen participating teams won 20 or more games with eight of those teams winning 25 or more games. The 14 schools listed below combined for a total of 340 games won with 84 losses for a .794 winning percent. For the second year in a row at least two (2) teams won State Championships and two (2) teams were State Runner-ups. Also included in the tournament field were four (4) teams that made it to the Final Four of their state playoffs.

John Carroll School (Bel Air, MD): 28-8, Final Four of MIAA Class “B” Playoffs

Horizon High School (San Diego, CA): 25-6, California Division IV Final Four

Jean Ribault High School (Jacksonville, FL): 20-9, Florida Class 3A Final Four

Dunwoody High School (Dunwoody, GA): 27-4, Elite 8 of Georgia Class 3A Playoffs

Meadowcreek High School (Norcross, GA): 26-3, lost to eventual Georgia Class 5A State Champion Norcross High in 2nd Round of Playoffs

Irmo High School (Columbia, SC): 23-5, Quarter-finals of SC Class 4A Playoffs

Lower Richland High School (Hopkins, SC): 21-6, Quarter-finals of SC Class 4A Playoffs

Ridge View High School (Columbia, SC): 18-11, Quarter-finals of SC Class 4A Playoffs

Sumter High School (Sumter, SC): 19-7, South Carolina Class 4A State Playoffs
