Dunwoody overcomes double-digit deficit to win
Local team Irmo High was outscored 27-9 in the final 7 minutes of the team's game vs. Dunwoody (Ga.) to fall 77-71 Wednesday in the 2006 Chick-fil-A Classic basketball tournament. The Yellow Jackets built a 12-point second-half lead before the Wildcats' rally.
Dunwoody's Zac Swansey led the team with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Bobby Perdue added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
The Yellow Jackets' top scorers were Anton Green (18) and Joe Ben Watson (15). Green also had 12 rebounds and 4 steals.
Dunwoody (8-0) plays again at 7 p.m. Thursday against the winner of the Wednesday game between Meadowcreek (Ga.) and Ribault (Fla.). Irmo (6-1) plays next at 11:30 a.m. Thursday against the loser of the Meadowcreek-Ribault contest.
