Game 11 Summary

Sumter (S.C.) outlasted local team Lower Richland in overtime Thursday to win 64-59 in the Classic I Tournament bracket of the 2006 Chick-fil-A Classic. The teams were deadlocked at 31 at halftime and again at 50 at the end of regulation. The Gamecocks then outscored the Diamond Hornets 14-9 in the extra period.

Four of Sumter's five starters scored in double-figures, led by Dontae Middleton's 17.

Rashawn Brailsford scored 18 to lead Lower Richland.

Sumter (7-1) is 1-1 in tournament play and moves on to play Irmo (7-1) at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Lower Richland (5-2) is 0-2 in the Classic and plays Florida team Ribault (7-3) at 11 a.m. Friday.
