Charlotte Christian wins Classic II Championship
Charlotte Christian (N.C.) defeated Horizon (Calif.) 71-63 Friday night for the Chick-fil-A Classic's Classic II championship, the Knights' second-straight Chick-fil-A title.
Classic II most valuable player Damier Pitts scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds in the win. Teammate and all-tournament selection Omar Carter added 24 points and 11 rebounds.
All-tournament team players Jeff Withey and Marquise Carter scored 29 and 17, respectively. Withey also had 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Charlotte Christian finishes undefeated in the 2006 Classic and is now 10-1 on the season. Horizon (9-2) ends the tourney 2-1.
