New Hanover (N.C.) used a strong second half to beat Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) 59-56 Thursday night to move on to the Chick-fil-A Classic's Classic I championship game.

James Beatty led the Wildcats with 24 points and 5 rebounds in the win. New Hanover shot 59.1 percent in the second half.

The Monarchs' top performer was Collin Chiverton with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Drew Gordon added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks.

New Hanover (8-3) will face 9-0 Dunwoody (Ga.) at 8 p.m. Friday for the Classic I bracket title. Archbishop Mitty (6-2) will face Georgia team Meadowcreek (8-2) for third place in the bracket at 5 p.m. Friday.
