Rebels rock Mohawks
in Chick-fil-A first round
The Rebels of S.R. Butler High outscored Bethune-Bowman High
40-9 in the first half en route to a 70-36 victory Wednesday in the 2005 Chick-fil-A Classic.
Butler (Huntsville,
AL) shot a blazing 69.2 percent in the
first half to 22.2 percent by Bethune-Bowman (Rowesville, SC).
On the game the Rebels outshot their opponents 60.8
percent to 36.4 percent.
Diamon Alexander, Rod Smith and
Terrance Alexander each scored 12 points for Butler.
Ronald Clark added nine points and six steals.
Brent Valentine led Bethune-Bowman with 10 points.
Butler plays
again at 4:20 p.m. Thursday against
the winner of the Wednesday game between Lexington Catholic (KY) and Blythewood
(SC). Bethune-Bowman plays the loser of that contest at 10 a.m. Thursday.
