Hamilton captures Classic II title

Hamilton High defeated S.R. Butler High Friday 68-61 to win the Classic II Championship of the 2005 Chick-fil-A Classic.

The Wildcats (Memphis, TN) went 3-0 for the tournament and are 12-0 on the season. Joseph Watkins and Myron Strong each scored 15. Deveyon Hunter scored 11 and had seven rebounds and was named the bracket’s Most Outstanding Player.

The Rebels (Huntsville, AL) won two of their three games. Jeff Smith scored 21; Rod Smith had 18.

S.R. Butler is 12-2 on the season
