Kentucky squad downs host school for third place

Lexington Catholic High took third place in the Classic II bracket of the Chick-fil-A Classic with a 50-46 overtime win over host school Richland Northeast High.

The Wildcats (Lexington, KY) finished the tournament 2-1. Nathan Novosel had 18 points and eight rebounds, while teammate Brian Hewitt scored 17.

James Barfield (17 points) led all scorers for the Cavaliers (Columbia, SC), who were 1-2 in the 2005 event. Lucas Hargrove pulled down 14 rebounds to go along with 11 points.

Lexington Catholic improved to 4-4 on the season. RNE is 8-2.
