Norcross wins OT thriller to reach title game

Norcross High gave up every bit of its 11-point halftime lead to Saint Anthony but pulled out a 55-52 victory Thursday in the 2005 Chick-fil-A Classic’s first overtime game.

The win puts the Blue Devils (Norcross, GA) in the title game of the Classic I bracket. Jodie Meeks’ 21 points and six rebounds led the way.

The Friars (Jersey City, NJ) got 24 points and nine rebounds from Giovanni Carenza.

Norcross plays Charlotte Christian (NC) at 9 p.m. Friday for the Classic I bracket championship. Saint Anthony will battle Dunwoody (GA) at 5 p.m. Friday for third place in the bracket.
