Game 11 Summary

Jones’ 33 fuels Diamond Hornets victory

Mike Jones poured in a tournament-high 33 points and had 12 rebounds to help defending Chick-fil-A Classic champion Lower Richland High get its first win of the 2005 tournament. The team defeated Lancaster High 83-54 Thursday.

The Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) rebounded from a tough two-point loss a day earlier. R.J. Derricotte contributed 14 points and five rebounds.

The Bruins (Lancaster, SC) lost their second-straight Chick-fil-A game. Mike Lowery scored 25 points, including five three-pointers. Mario Thomas had 15 rebounds to go along with eight points.

Lower Richland (7-1) plays again at 1:40 p.m. Friday against the Keenan-Winter Park winner. Lancaster (2-6) plays that game’s loser at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
