Hillside (Durham, NC) wins inaugural Chick-fil-A Classic with buzzer-beater!

After trailing most of the game, Hillside’s Chris Lennon hits the game winning shot as the final buzzer sounded to defeat McEachern (Powder Springs, GA) by a score of 69-68. Hillside’s 6’8 Bobby Perry led all scorers in the game with 25 points and was named the tournaments’ MVP.

In another close ending, Lee County’s 6’9 Todd Henley dunked the games winning points off a missed shot at the horn to claim the 3rd place trophy for the Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) over the Bearcats of Brookland-Cayce (Columbia, SC).
